Our pain treatment and rehabilitation clinic is centrally located in Estero, Florida, but we service patients within the entire state of Florida and beyond.

How does PRP compare to other injection treatments such as steroids?

How long does this take?

The procedure is done all on the same day, procedure takes 30-60 minutes, all efforts are taken to make the procedure well tolerated (pain medications, nitrous gas, local anesthetics “numb the injection area”

Is this one session? Do I have a follow-up?

Although some patients improve with one treatment, most patients will need 2-3 treatments, each treatment builds on the previous to improve the health, strength, and function of the spine. Patient do have a follow-up in 1-2 weeks after injection and a re-check 4-6 weeks after injection.

Is this outpatient? Do I feel immediate pain relief? How many injections?

It is outpatient, the area may feel numb, but typically the area is sore right after, symptoms may get aggravated for a few days while the patient recovers, since we are treating the whole spinal unit and all the structure, it may be 15-25 injections at one sitting.

What are the risks/side effects?

Like with any medical procedure, there are always risks such as infection, bleeding, and nerve injury, these are extremely rare and have not occurred in our clinic.

Consults and follow-ups are covered, injections are not
